Oyooni is packing for another trip to Palestine
We are setting off to Palestine for another Oyooni trip. Our programme is filled with clinical sessions in Jenin clinic and the camp, Dheisha camp, and villages surrounding Ramalllah & Hebron areas. Volunteers from Zyara will be attending and helping along the way.
Seminars and workshops will be delivered for specialised and general medical eye care.
Watch this space for a progress report as soon as we return by end of April.
Oyooni is honoured by The Peace Cycle
Dear Friends,
We are thrilled and honoured to learn of the donation made by The Peace Cycle 2009 cyclists. Their generosity will bring Oyooni miles closer to its target of purchasing the laser machine. Thanks to all who took part.
’The Peace Cycle is proud to announce that the 2009 ride from Amman to Jerusalem has raised a total of £5,200 which has been donated to the Oyooni Mobile Eye Clinic.
Huge thanks to the amazing group of cyclists who all worked so hard to raise funds and complete the ride from Amman to Jerusalem and everyone who helped organise, promote and support the 2009 ride especially all at the Siraj Center for Holy Land Studies in Beit Sahour.’

To The Peace Cycle and cyclists...
Wow... according to my accurate and longhand calculations, that’s about 5 pence for every turn of the wheel ... what an amazing feat..
Having done the 2004 London to Jerusalem Peace Cycle, I, and certain areas of my anatomy, sympathise with every muscle in your bodies..!!
Seriously though...you have no idea what this means to me, oyooni and above all the men, women & children your donation will affect. It will certainly go a long way to improve the quality of their lives & offer them some precious light. We are fundraising for a laser machine used in the treatment of diabetic eye complications and glaucoma; the amount you’ve raised goes a long way to reaching our target.
It was a pleasure to meet you all in Palestine and to be able to show you some of the work Oyooni carries out for the benefit of diabetic & glaucoma patients.
